LowMesh Pocket-S is the first portable solar node for long range off grid communications.

It now comes in two versions- Pocket S Base- featuring a built in solar panel, buzzer, and 2000 mAh battery, and also Pocket S Plus which adds a BME280 temperature and humidity sensor and RTC (real time clock).

Your battery recharges automatically when in sun. An on/off switch preserves power when not in use. The loud buzzer alerts you when a new message comes through. 

It can also be used as a standalone node, with camera tripod style mounting hole (easily weatherproof using a clear waterproof carry bag that won't obstruct UV).

With an internal 2000 mAh battery, the LowMesh Pocket-S is designed to last. But heavier use means more battery usage, so the solar panel keeps you charged as you go.

Meshtastic® is an off-grid messaging system using inexpensive hardware to create your personal mesh. Radios forward messages to the next node to distribute them over the network. Communicate kilometers/miles between nodes. Internet-connected relay nodes enable the conversation to move online too.

The LowMesh Pocket-S does not include GPS or OLED to help prevent battery drain. OLED is not required for Meshtastic as devices use your phone's Meshtastic app to send and receive messages.
